GDC: PC Gaming Alliance Formed

Comprised of the biggest hardware and software players in the PC gaming market, the PC Gaming Alliance was announced today at GDC. Designed to be a vocal group that can act as a steering committee for PC gaming, the PCGA is looking to "maintain an industry-facing presence that champions the PC as a games platform."

The full list of members includes Acer/Gateway, Activision, AMD, Dell/Alienware, Epic Games, Intel, Microsoft, Nvidia and Razer.

Hopefully the new alliance will have more luck than Microsoft's "Games For Windows" initiative in promoting PC gaming as a viable and desirable platform in an age of high performance consoles.
